Speed King is a fast, crate-smashing arcade game from Fancade, the studio behind a string of pick-up-and-play mobile-style games. You play a dashing royal character who moves in short, sharp bursts rather than a smooth run, so every level turns into a puzzle about which direction to punch next.
The goal on each stage is simple to say and harder to do: crush every crate before you run out of room or run into a hazard. Because your character only moves in straight lines until it hits something, you are constantly reading the layout a beat ahead, lining up a dash so it clears a crate and stops somewhere safe rather than sailing off the edge or into an enemy.
On a keyboard, WASD or the arrow keys send your character dashing in that direction; on phone or tablet, a swipe does the same job. There is no acceleration or steering mid-dash, so each move is a single committed decision. A level ends the moment the last crate is gone, and it restarts instantly if you dash into a hazard or off the playing field, which keeps failed attempts short instead of punishing.
Look at where a dash will actually stop, not just which crate it hits first — running into a wall or another crate is often what puts you next to a hazard by accident. Clear crates from the edges of a level inward when you can, since crates near the boundary give you less room to correct a bad dash. When a level looks like a dead end, check whether a diagonal approach through two dashes opens a path a single straight line does not.
If you want something with the same quick-reflex arcade feel, Tiger Tank swaps crate-smashing for World War II tank combat, letting you pick a tank class and clear out enemy positions from cover. Merge Arena is a slower-burn arcade pick, an idle tower defense game where you merge identical units into stronger ones to fend off monster waves.
